How Big Should USDOT Decal Stickers Be Displayed?

USDOT, MC, GVW & most state regulation numbers should be a minimum of 2 inches and height and must be visible from at least 50 feet away. We recommend you display them larger just to be safe. They must also contrast with the background of your vehicle. If you have a white truck, you would want a darker color such as black or dark blue and vice versa. You can display your regulation numbers on vinyl, magnet or anything that will be visible and will hold up driving at high speeds. You also want to use a font that is easy to read such as a san serif or a block type font, you want to avoid script fonts as they are difficult to read at first glance.
