Being USDOT compliant is one of the most important things to do as a new or veteran trucker. If you’re a new trucker, knowing what to display and how to display your information can be quite intimidating.

Your USDOT number and all the regulations numbers that are applicable to you such as a MC, GVW, CA, KYU, VIN number must be a minimum of 2” inches in height. The lettering must be visible from a distance of at least 50 feet away and the color of the lettering must contrast with the color of your commercial vehicle. You also must display the legal name of your business and the city of which you are doing business out of since businesses can have very similar names or even the same name.
