We recommend displaying your USDOT number in a block font or a professional san serif style type font. Fonts such as Bebas, Times New Roman, Arial Bold, Sans Pro are perfect for displaying your USDOT number and being up to code. We recommend you avoid any fancy script that might be difficult to understand at first glance. The goal is to make it very easy for authorities to understand your regulation numbers displayed on your cab, this also makes it easier when passing through truck scales (weight stations).

Being DOT compliant can be intimidating! On a standard semi truck you must display your business name (company name), city and state of which you are doing business out of, your USDOT and any regulation numbers that are applicable to you. You must also display that you have a fire extinguisher inside and ELD's on board (electronic driver logs). If you have multiple vehicles we recommend adding a number decal to identify the motor units.
